The enemy has designs to keep us from fulfilling the purposes of God- false doctrine, false teachers, and counterfeit pseudo-Christianity are abounding in our day. To be a thriving Christian entails both discernment and commitment. Peter’s second epistle deals in no uncertain terms with both the problematic issues of our day, and the high call of God for us to overcome as we keep our focus on the world to come - a world without sin, without deceit, and full of the bliss of permanent oneness with God Himself.
